Summary
Vidar Systems, a Ukrainian startup in acoustic technologies for military defense, is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Manager. This role involves optimizing production processes, scaling manufacturing output, and leading a team to develop acoustic systems for artillery detection. The ideal candidate will have experience in team management, electronics, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and strategically grow the manufacturing team
- Optimize and scale product manufacturing processes
- Make effective technical decisions at the team level
- Ensure regular retrospectives and continuous feedback for the team
- Structure and maintain manufacturing documentation
- Build effective collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain, and Accounting
- Manage production planning and ensure execution
- Prepare reports for leadership and accounting
Requirements
What we Expect
- 2+ years of experience managing a manufacturing team
- Basic knowledge of electronics and electronic component principles
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and the hardware product lifecycle
- Confident use of Google Workspace, Jira, Miro, and Slack
- Experience in process optimization
- Proactive mindset — you identify problems and propose solutions immediately
- Ownership of results and responsibility for the team
- Fluent Ukrainian and English at Upper-Intermediate+ level
- Experience in MilTech / Defense / Electronics Manufacturing (nice to have)
- Experience working in startups or R&D teams (nice to have)
- Technical education (nice to have)
