Summary

DragonForce, a Ukrainian R&D startup with European investments, is seeking a Part-time Middle UAV Pilot Engineer in Lviv. This role involves flying drones, conducting tests, and collecting flight data for precise navigation systems, especially where GNSS signals are unreliable. Candidates should have Ardupilot experience and personal transportation, with military background being a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performing drone flights (wings/quadcopters)
  • Executing test missions and experiments
  • Collecting and transmitting flight logs
  • Participating in hypotheses/experiments (installing new code, testing)
  • Interacting with the team (engineers, other pilots)
  • Independently traveling to the polygon and preparing equipment

Requirements

  • Required Technical Skills (MUST):

    • Experience with Ardupilot (at least half a year of real experience, but practical skills are more important)
    • Ability to launch drones, perform missions, and check logs
    • Basic technical literacy (open terminal, perform simple actions)
    • Own car or driver's license (for travel to the polygon)
    • Readiness to work as a FOP (individual entrepreneur)
  • Preferred Skills (Good to have):
    • Military experience, understanding of military operations specifics
    • Engineering or technical background (IT, support, backend)
    • Experience with 3D modeling, drone repair
    • Instructor experience, training others
    • Experience with other autopilots, sensors
  • Important Considerations:
    • Must not be working or planning to work for companies involved in drone autonomy/navigation (NDA conflict)
    • Must not hold pro-Russian views and be willing to communicate in Ukrainian
    • Must demonstrate flexibility and high self-sufficiency
