Summary
Our company is seeking a Middle Embedded Engineer in Kyiv to join the autonomous systems and UAV development team. The role focuses on embedded software development for MCU-based platforms, sensor integration, and flight-control stack customization. Responsibilities
- Development of embedded software for STM32-based platforms
- Integration of sensors, peripherals, and actuators
- Development and support of drivers for UART, SPI, I2C, CAN
- Customization and expansion of ArduPilot functionality for specific platform tasks
- Debugging and testing the system on real hardware and in simulators
- Analysis and troubleshooting using an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and debugging tools
- Participation in code review and technical discussion of architectural solutions
- Maintenance of project technical documentation
Requirements
What we Expect
- 2-3 years of commercial experience with C/C++ in the Embedded field
- Practical experience with STM32 microcontrollers
- Understanding of embedded peripherals and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
- Experience with bare-metal or RTOS-based systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and datasheets
- Practical experience in hardware debugging
- Confident use of Git
- Understanding of Make/CMake build systems
Nice to have:
- Experience with ArduPilot or PX4
- Understanding of UAV principles and flight-control systems
- Experience with STM32CubeHAL/LL, CMSIS
- Experience with Embedded Linux
- Skills in Python for automation/debugging tooling
- Understanding of MAVLink, DroneCAN, or CAN-based embedded systems
- Experience with simulators (SITL/HITL/Gazebo, etc.)
- English at a level sufficient for reading and understanding technical documentation
