Our customer is delivering a scalable, governed data platform to support analytics and reporting needs. The solution encompasses onboarding diverse data sources (SQL and non-SQL), building data marts, and enabling Power BI dashboards. Deliverables will be shared upon request, with a disclaimer that they do not represent the final architecture.
The goal of the project is to define the data marts and migrate the database to Snowflake by the end of the year.
The team is distributed across Ukraine, Europe, and India, while the client is based in the United States. Partial overlap with the client’s time zone (EST) is required - availability until 1-2 pm EST is expected.
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Support and enhance data warehousing solutions in Snowflake, ensuring performance and scalability
• Manage sensitive data securely using Azure Key Vault
• Work with large and diverse datasets from internal and external sources
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and business teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Apply best practices in data modeling, transformation logic, and cloud data integration
• Troubleshoot performance issues, ensure data quality, and implement robust monitoring
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform, particularly ADF
- Practical experience with Snowflake and external tables, snowpipes, tasks, streams
- Experience with Key Vault
- Strong experience with SQL (T-SQL), stored procedures
- Solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, including best practices for performance tuning and cost efficiency
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data from varied sources
- Familiarity with data security, privacy regulations, and governance
- Experience with CI/CD, Github actions ( candidate should know how CI/CD is set up, how branch and PR are created)
