Summary
We are looking for an experienced UAV copter pilot-technician to join our flight team to test our development of an alternative navigation system in the absence of GPS. The candidate must be confident in flying drones, be technically literate, have a deep understanding of the operation of the main components of the UAV and have experience working with Ardupilot-based systems.
The work includes piloting the UAV copter, testing and assisting with technical aspects related to flights.
Responsibilities
Control of UAVs of the copter type
- Perform pre-flight checks and adjustments of UAVs
- Maintain aircraft and related equipment
- Assist in flight planning and compliance with safety procedures
- Troubleshoot UAV hardware
- Record and report flight data
- Collaborate with engineers during testing and development of new platforms
Requirements
What we Expect
- Real flight experience on a copter-type UAV of at least 30 hours
- Understanding the operation of the main components of the UAV
- Knowledge of Ardupilot at the advanced user level
- Experience with mission planning programs (Mission Planner, QGroundControl)
- Ability to safely control a drone in the field
- Skills in diagnosing and repairing UAVs and related equipment
