We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our Supply Chain team and take full ownership of warehouse operations across our defense manufacturing facility. The main goal of this role is to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient handling of materials, components, and finished products—supporting production readiness through effective inventory control, personnel management, and cross-functional coordination.
Accountability & Responsibility:
- Responsible for safekeeping of all warehouse materials and assets.
- Accountable for inventory accuracy and system integrity.
- Ensures timely issuance and receipt of materials according to production plans.
- Ensures compliance with occupational safety, fire safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manages team performance and aligns warehouse operations with production needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all warehouse activities.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials, components, and finished goods.
- Manage warehouse staff: task delegation, performance supervision, training, and adaptation.
2. Inventory Control & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems (e.g., 1C, SAP).
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc stock audits/inventories.
- Ensure proper inventory updates in accounting systems.
3. Storage Compliance & Safety:
- Enforce proper storage practices, labeling, and segregation of goods.
- Ensure safety and upkeep of warehouse premises and equipment.
- Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dust, etc.) for sensitive materials.
4. Cross-Department Coordination:
- Ensure timely supply of components and materials to production lines.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, production, and quality teams.
- Participate in production planning by reporting inventory readiness.
5. Process Improvement:
- Implement and maintain lean storage practices (e.g., 5S, FIFO, Kanban).
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and reduce operating costs.
- Continuously improve workflow efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Higher education in logistics, management, economics, or technical fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse role within a production or manufacturing company, including 1+ year in a leadership role.
- Experience working in medium to large-sized manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (1C, SAP, etc.) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Understanding of material flow in a production context.
- Familiarity with lean warehousing practices (5S, FIFO, Lean) is an advantage.
- Experience in inventory audits and physical stocktaking.
