Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our UGV Team and support the assembly, refinement, and preparation of unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for executing mechanical assembly operations in accordance with engineering drawings and technical documentation, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and repeatability.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in mechanical assembly, metalworking, and working with technical documentation in a production or prototype environment.
Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly & Production
- Assemble mechanical components, structures, and subsystems of UGV platforms.
- Perform mechanical operations according to engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Install, adjust, and secure mechanical elements in line with design requirements.
- Work with mechanical connections, fasteners, and structural assemblies.
- Ensure assembly activities meet quality and engineering standards.
Prototype & Product Development Support
- Support mechanical engineers during prototype manufacturing and platform refinement.
- Participate in the assembly of prototype, experimental, and pre-production units.
- Implement engineering changes and design updates in mechanical assemblies.
- Provide practical feedback on manufacturability and assembly processes.
Quality & Process Compliance
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and repeatability of mechanical work.
- Follow assembly procedures, production standards, and quality requirements.
- Identify and report assembly issues, mechanical inconsistencies, or documentation gaps.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes and production efficiency.
Tools & Documentation
- Operate manual and power tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established production procedures.
Results / KPI
Success After 6 Months
- UGV platforms are assembled according to design documentation and quality standards.
- Mechanical assemblies are reliable, repeatable, and require minimal rework.
- Production tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- The Mechanical Technician is recognized as a dependable contributor and an important member of the UGV Team.
Requirements
What we Expect
- Experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or related technical roles.
- Practical skills in metalworking, fabrication, and mechanical fitting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship quality.
- Understanding of assembly processes and quality standards.
- Experience working with prototypes, pilot production, or hardware products is a plus.
- Fluent Ukrainian.
- Basic English skills sufficient to work with technical documentation are an advantage.
