Role Overview: We are seeking a Part-Time DevOps Engineer who is passionate about infrastructure automation, proactive in problem-solving, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our infrastructure, fixing errors, and potentially communicating with clients to provide support when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and GitLab to ensure smooth deployment processes—because we like things efficient, not dramatic.
- Oversee infrastructure setup and support on platforms like Kubernetes, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, and Proxmox. Basically, you’ll be our wizard behind the curtain.
- Automate infrastructure management using Terraform and support containerised environments with Docker.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related errors promptly, ensuring minimal downtime. You’re the hero no one sees, but everyone relies on.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to automate routine tasks and enhance system performance. Scripting is your superpower; the more automation, the merrier!
- Engage with AI-driven optimisation tools and integrate AI capabilities into existing infrastructure. We’re big on AI—think of it as our house specialty.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand and address their technical needs and concerns when required.
- Actively contribute to the maintenance and scalability of our systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and guidance on infrastructure needs. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, and Terraform. If you can tame these beasts, you’ll fit right in.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation. “Why click when you can script?” is your life motto.
- Experience with cloud providers like DigitalOcean and Hetzner.
- Strong background in CI/CD processes and managing containerised environments.
